Prominent Long Island attorney Howard Fensterman and Managing Partner of the Abrams Fensterman law firm arranged a non-partisan meeting between NYC Mayor Eric Adams and Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman to discuss the management and potential deportation of criminal migrants who have come to New York City and Nassau County illegally.

Similar to Adam’s meeting with newly appointed Border Czar Tom Homan. The mayor is passionate about ways to keep NYC safe, and his meeting with Bruce Blakeman, whose county borders NYC, is one of the strategies he is employing to address these concerns

The Details

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, a Trump ally, has repeatedly expressed his stance on immigration policies. In 2023, after consideration was being given by NYC to house migrants in Nassau Coliseum, Blakeman stated that Nassau “is not a sanctuary county” and would not assist New York City with its influx of migrants. Additionally, he stated that New York City welcomed the crisis and must address its own problems, including pressuring former President Biden to enhance border security.

This posture by Blakeman remained constant until Donald Trump, who was President-Elect at the time, stated that he would be deporting all undocumented migrants, starting with the violent ones and those who have already committed crimes in the United States.

Subsequently, on January 14, 2025, a meeting coordinated by Howard Fensterman was set up between Mayor Adams and Bruce Blakeman to correlate the deportation of violent criminal migrants between the city and Nassau County.

On January 20th, 2025, when Trump became the 47th President of the United States, he declared a national emergency in the U.S.-Mexico border and the deployment of military personnel to enhance border security.

President Trump’s inauguration speech will no doubt accelerate the management of violent and criminal migrants between NYC and Nassau County, so we can expect to see activity materializing in this area sooner rather than later.

Note: As of the writing of this article, mass deportations in NYC will begin next week.
