In a recent op-ed in the Long Island Press, prominent attorney Howard Fensterman expressed his support for New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ initiative to coordinate with President Trump’s executive order on immigration. He also stated that he supports bi-partisan cooperation regarding proposals for upgrading the city’s infrastructure, such as a proposed Gateway tunnel under the Hudson River and the controversial congestion pricing plan in Manhattan, which is now underway.

He emphasized that working across party lines can lead to practical solutions that can benefit all New Yorkers. He highlights that Mayor Adams’ willingness to engage with President Trump demonstrates a common sense approach to governance, focusing more on results than political differences.

Mr. Fensterman’s commitment to bipartisan support was further enhanced by his arrangement of a meeting between Mayor Adams and Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman to discuss cooperation between NYC and Nassau County in order to facilitate the deportations of these criminals.

Fensterman said, “As Lyndon Johnson once said, ‘I’m the only president you’ve got.’ Right now, that’s President Trump. Mayor Adams is doing his job by seeking to work as cooperatively as he can with the new administration.”
