Lisa Wickens-Alteri is the heart and soul behind Capital Health Consulting. With over 36 years of experience in both public and private healthcare at the state and county levels, Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the industry.
As a Registered Nurse and former Deputy Director of the Office of Health Systems Management (OHSM) at the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), she has spent her career ensuring quality healthcare delivery, regulatory compliance, and innovative policy development.
As the Founder and President of Capital Health Consulting, Lisa’s expertise shines in healthcare policy, regulatory compliance, and operational oversight. She has a remarkable track record that includes:

- Leading Healthcare in New York State: Lisa played a pivotal role as Deputy Director of OHSM at NYSDOH, overseeing state and federal healthcare programs, quality standards, and financing for healthcare facilities across New York.
- Shaping Policy and Budgets: She has been instrumental in developing and coordinating Medicare and Medicaid budgets, advising multiple Governors and Legislatures on key healthcare initiatives. Her work with the NYS Master Plan for Aging has helped craft policies that promote healthy, independent aging for New Yorkers of all ages.
- Commitment to Community and Advocacy: Lisa serves as a Trustee for Northern Rivers, an organization supporting children, adults, and families across 41 counties. She was a longtime trustee of the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center and currently leads as Executive Director of several professional societies, including the NYS Ambulatory Cardiovascular Society, NYS Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and the NYS Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
